Funny story
Believe it or not, ours wasn't a storybook romance right from the start. The day Jer was introduced around Bridal Guide as the IT director, the main thing I remember was thinking, great, this guy's gonna see everything I do on my computer! Not like there was much to see besides work, a few instant messages and maybe an online purchase, but still.

The first time we saw each other outside of work was at a co-workers going-away party. I was talking to some friends when I overheard him say something about Paris Hilton being hot. Of course I had to immediately disagree with him on that (or, as he puts it, go crazy about what a mess she is.) Back then I don't think either of us would've guessed we'd wind up planning our wedding a few years later, but I guess love is funny like that. Before long we started chatting here and there around the office. It turned out, Jer wasn't half bad. Way better than that, actually.

We started having lunch together and grabbing drinks after work. We were both dating other people, but couldn't help wanting to spend time together--we even have pictures from that years  holiday party, where we ended up together the whole night. The first time of many!  I think the first time I knew this might be something more was when Jer came with me to my aunt's wedding when my then-boyfriend wouldn't. It was a favor and  just friendly, but it made me see what a special guy he really was.

Long story short, those other relationships ended and ours began. It can be funny sometimes because we're different in a lot of ways. He's super easygoing and laid back-- totally doesn't get things like why it takes me an hour to get dressed. I, on the other hand, can be a little more , ahem,  high strung-- some might even say high maintenance :) But Jeremy and I balance each other perfectly, and more importantly, love each other so much. It may have taken some time to get everything right, but like anything worth having, it was worth working for.

We started dating in the fall of 2004, made it official the next year, and took the next step by moving in together two years later. We've never looked back.
