Now...

The second we laid eyes on the Bourne Mansion we knew we wanted to have the wedding there. It's so beautiful-- long rolling driveway, stunning ballroom with glass ceiling, and prime waterfront location. We knew it would be the perfect place for a fun reception and just the right fit for the Roaring 20's, Gatsby-inspired festivities.

And then...

Formerly known as Indian Neck Hall, Bourne Mansion was once the 100-room summer home of industrialist Frederick G. Bourne, president of the Singer sewing machine company. Completed in 1897, the massive, 2½-story Federal style structure overlooks the Great South Bay.
Bourne died in 1920. Six years later the mansion became the site of LaSalle Military Academy. LaSalle was closed in 2001 and the mansion was bought by St. John's University. The eastern part of the estate is now comprised of the West Sayville County Golf Course and the Suffolk County Marine Museum, while much of the middle portion is covered with homes.
